Our awesome assembly

4G has been busy putting together an assembly but with a twist.

Instead of the audience sitting and listening, in fitting with developing our theme of this unit of making by learning we turned our assembly into a giant cardboard balloon car making race.

The children worked on developing instructions for the cardboard car on iPads using the book creator app. We then shared our learning with the Year 1 and 2 classes who were helped by the Year 5 and 6 classes to make their own balloon car.

We then joined our parents in the auditorium to make our own cars and everyone took part in a Google Hangout to see what was happening in different parts of the primary school.

We owe a huge thank you to everyone - all the teachers from Year 1,2, 5 and 6 who helped supervise the assembly.

The Year 5 and 6 learners for helping the junior children.

Our classroom assistants for all the behind the scenes work.

A huge thank you to the parents who came along to participate. The children really value sharing their learning with you.
